No AJ cd here yet.  Am listening to another angelic voice - that of Indigenous singer songwriter Geoffrey Gurrumul Yunupingu.  He is from Elcho Island, north of Darwin and has been blind from birth.

Glad you liked it Tearsmadedry:) Geoffrey has performed outside Australia - recently to very good reception in China - but is very much ‘of’ Elcho and I don’t imagine he’ll do a lot of overseas promotion.  He has a cd out on an independent Indig label and has been performing in bands for quite a while - gaining increasingly more recognition in OZ.

and yes, our cat is forever bringing in little ‘trophies of war’ he has found in the garden, once word gets round the mouse community though, they stay well away

Beethoven’s Symphony # 7… by far his best. So beautiful

I’ve not really listened to much classical stuff, nothing against it just never got round to it, perhaps someone could list some popular stuff that I could start with....

Gustav Holst’s “First Suite in E flat” is also a remarkable piece. Here’s a youtube video of it (no video just a sound recording). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ngTnToAs4uU&feature=related I hope you can watch it over there! It isn’t as classical as others (it was written for military band).
