This again was a really lovely night, John and Thelma are two very lovely people who put themselves out for other people and still find time to raise money for charity. Thelma came and picked Andrew and I up in her car to take us to this and brought us home again and knowing how much they have come through lately it really says everything about the wonderful people they are. If you ever read this John and Thelma I want to say thankyou for the help you give Andrew. John gives Andrew piano lessons - for no cost because he wants to help him and because he is a thoroughly great bloke and Thelma is his strength and they both have hearts of gold.

Its lovely that John is teaching andrew the pianoi--lessons Can be very expensive. reminds me of our conductor who during the war years also had free lessons-- he was a chorister-- and the choir master-- asked local people who had piano’s to allow such as JOHN our conductor to have use of the piano and the free lessons also. He is extremely musical too.
